This is the year 2013 and it is time! I have been writing for years and have even been published several times, but always in relative obscurity compared to the legions of people who have such a strong public presence on the Web. Well, my last baby has left for college and my Stay at Home Mom job has been eliminated… it is time to take myself seriously as a writer! So on this first day of the Great Blizzard of 2013 in Boston I sit at my computer struggling to build myself a website and a sense of professional identity at the same time. The piles of snow are growing inch by inch, and so are my hopes for my writing future!
Thanks so much, Louise! Believe it or not, I did (painfully) set this up myself and am the elusive Admin. Not too old to learn new tricks yet, I guess! And, yes, connection in this overwhelming world is what I am aiming for – you are the first one who called me a connector so thank you!

Oh, this is wonderful, you have an Admin who replies for you (insert smiley face here)…way to go LN….this is a grand idea, you are a Master Connector, and this will be your ribbon that connects people, things, places, and ideas..if you set this up yourself, I’m even More Impressed…..
What a great time to start a blog–in the middle of a blizzard! Being an empty nester gives you lots of new-found time—great to use that time to write. It takes a while to adjust to all that quiet time, but after a few months, you’ll grow to love it.
